Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Central Viriginia until 1:00 A.M.


A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 1:00AM for most of central Virginia, including Metro Richmond, the Tri-Cities, Williamsburg & Hampton/Newport News. Strong thunderstorms may produce dangerous lightning, damaging winds up to 70 mph and large hail. An isolated tornado or two can't be ruled out.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11 P.M. well north & west...


A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 11:00 P.M. well north and west of Richmond, from a Charlottesville/Fredericksburg line and points north & west. Strong thunderstorms will likely move into the area this evening, that could produce dangerous lightning, damaging wind gusts to 70 mph and large hail. There is also the possibility of an isolated tornado or two. These storms could potentially impact the metro Richmond area later on, so another watch could be issued. Stay tuned...

Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 8 P.M.


A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 8 P.M. for much of central and southern Virginia. This includes Metro Richmond, the Tri-Cities, Charlottesville and Fredericksburg. Isolated strong thunderstorms may produce damaging winds and hail.
Also, a Flood Watch remains in effect for the area through this evening.

Tornado Watch until 11 P.M. for central & southeast Virginia...


A Tornado Watch is in effect until 11 P.M. for much of central and southeast Virginia. This includes the Metro Richmond area and points south and east down to Hampton Roads. Strong thunderstorms moving across the region may produce damaging winds, hail and even a few tornadoes.
