Freeze Warning north & west of Richmond from 3AM-9AM...

A Freeze Warning is in effect from 3AM-9AM north and west of Richmond (the area colored light blue on the map above).  This includes Hanover County and points north and west (Charlottesville, Louisa, Fredericksburg down to Farmville).  Temperatures will lower to 32 degrees or a bit below just prior to sunrise.  Vegetation that is sensitive to sub-freezing temperatures should be protected or brought indoors if possible.

Tornado Watch in effect until Midnight

A Tornado Watch is in effect for most of central Virginia, including the Metro Richmond area and the Tri-Cities, until midnight.  Storms developing across the region this evening may produce large hail, damaging winds and potentially a tornado or two.
